Each bar is under 100 calories… with 3 grams of fiber and 5 grams of protein!

They can be whipped up in minutes, and they’re the perfect option when you’re craving chocolate but want to be healthy at the same time.

The best part is that you only need 5 ingredients!

5 Ingredient Chocolate Monster Bars

Imagine if your favorite granola bar came in a chocolate fudge flavor…

Make up a batch and freeze leftovers for a rainy day, so you can always have a healthy treat on hand.

Any time you’re craving chocolate, just pop one out of the freezer!

Healthy Chocolate Sea Salt Super Squares

You can use any granola in the recipe – I chose to use the popular Eaton Hemp Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Granola that’s been taking over the food world in recent weeks, because I was finally able to get my hands on some!

(It’s currently back in stock—with free shipping for the next 48 hours only—so I’d highly recommend buying as soon as possible if you want to try it, before it goes out of stock again.)

And now that I’ve finally found it, I can totally see what all the hype has been about.

Unlike many other granolas, this one isn’t packed with a ton of sugar, so it’s a great choice for adding to already-sweet foods such as oatmeal, yogurt, chocolate pudding, or Avocado Chocolate Mousse, or for sprinkling over cereal with sliced banana and blueberries.

You get 8 grams of protein per serving, with Omega 3s, all 9 amino acids, and it’s 100% organic, certified gluten free, and vegan.

The super squares also come in two other flavors, Coconut Mango or Apple Cinnamon… Crazy as it sounds, I might even like the apple cinnamon flavor even more than the chocolate. That’s how good it is.

(I don’t make any commission on sales of the granola. It’s just something I personally use and love!)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mashed banana or sweet potato
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup almond butter, or allergy friendly sub
  • 3 tbsp pure maple syrup, honey, or agave
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 cup crushed granola - I highly recommend the popular Eaton Hemp Chocolate Sea Salt Granola Squares
  • optional 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

If almond butter is not soft, gently heat until stir-able. Line an 8×8 pan with wax or parchment paper. Crush the granola before measuring 1 cup. Mix the crushed granola with 1/4 cup of the almond butter, 1 tbsp of the maple syrup, and the optional mini chips. Spread into the pan. Press down firmly using a second sheet of parchment. Combine all remaining ingredients until smooth–it’s easiest in a food processor but can also be done by hand. Spread over the crust. Freeze to set. Cut into bars or squares. Store leftover bars in the freezer.
